SofLens daily disposable is a daily contact lens from Bausch & Lomb.
SofLens daily disposable has so-called aspheric optics which gives you an improved quality of sight. Details appear more clearly, contrasts become sharper, colours become clearer and you even see better in the dark.
These contact lenses can be worn for one day only. They are to be removed and discarded at the end of the day, replaced by a fresh pair the following day. To keep your eyes healthy it’s important that you follow your optician’s recommendations regarding handling and how long you should wear your lenses for. Often careless handling of lenses or using lenses for too long can be a common cause of problems such as eye infections. If you do experience any problems with your lenses, first make sure you are using the correct lenses, if you are then contact our customer services or your optician for advice.
I find these lenses very easy to insert but I have been using them for years so perhaps there's a technique needed which takes practise. So comfy once in my eyes, never dry out unless I've worn them for more than eight hours. Excellent value for money once you've mastered getting them in the eye!
Too floppy to insert first time each morning even for someone used to them. I usually wear mine in the car using a great vanity mirror. I normally used alcon dailies, for once I thought to try these which are made by a company i have long respected for the sunglasses. Way too floppy. I am considering ditching the whole 3 months supply and paying more to get acuvues. Once in the eye they wear nicely but getting them in place easily contaminates them. Way too fiddly!
These are the worst contact lens I have tried personally. As soon as I tried to place it on my finger it was collapsing all over the place and turning inside out or folding over. I have never seen a contact lens so resistant to getting in my eye. A slight touch of the eye lid and it was folding in half or leaping out. I feel like you need to be an expert to get these in right. For me the cheap cost was not worth the 30 minutes it took me to successful get them to stay in and it's happening every time. I stuck with my Alcon Dailies in the end which don't collapse or fold and I can get in first time almost every time.
The lenses are rather thick and a pain to get in as they curl up at the slightest prod, takes me longer to get these into my eyes than other lenses I've tried. So far I haven't had any issues with dry eyes or irritation but they are not as comfortable as Acuvue, however they are much cheaper than other brands...swings and roundabouts.
These lenses are great value for money, I have never had any issues with them and are my top pick out of all the lenses I have tried. They are comfortable and don't dry out even after a long day of wearing them. The Toric equivalent are also a great lens, I wear these ones in my right eye. The colour coding on the packet makes sure I put the correct lens in each eye. Would recommend to anyone looking at getting contact lenses as they are easy to put in and take out.
